Production still from a really busy day at the Lowewood Museum yesterday where we were filming with Liam Mercer from the 10th Essex Regiment Great War Living History Group, Ciara Jane Fleming from The Valle Academy of Performing Arts , and Caitlin one of the many members of Lowewood Museum’s Youth Panel who were filming. Of course Lowewood Museum’s tiger Ben kept a ready eye on proceedings.Only a few more days of shooting left on the Youth Panel’s short film “Absolutely”, which is kindly supported by Royal Opera House Bridge .

We had a fantastic evening filming at Hertfordshire’s Lowewood Museum. We were filming for their new short film “Absolutely” . One of the great things about the Hoddesdon based museum is they not only make you welcome but also make every visit fun.
Shooting some test footage today at Hoddesdon’s, Lowewood Museum for our new short film: Absolutely. I got a little distracted by a fabulous stone carving workshop that was taking place in the grounds of the museum led by stone carver Simon Keeley MA – Stone Carver & Sculptor who isn’t featured in the photo.
One of the great things about working with proactive museums is they’re always trying something new and engaging with not only with their regular loyal audience but also reaching out to build an even more inclusive audience.
We’re working on our new narrative production Like Father Like Son. It’s been an amazing, sometimes emotional process researching archive material as we put this film together. We’ve been privileged to listen to such powerful, moving stories. Let’s hope these stories and events, as well as others, continue to be studied and archived for future generations.
Fortunately, there is a great accessible archive in the UK held by museums and galleries who are always very helpful when we are working on a project. There’s such a great wealth of diverse museums, institutions and galleries that want to share their resources.
We love making a variety of films, narrative and documentary, but it is always special collaborating with museums and galleries. Whether employed professionals or volunteers, we are fortunate to work with people with such passion and knowledge for their subject.
